Easy, Affordable Skip Hire in Birmingham

Waste Disposal & Skip Hire in Birmingham

Skip Hire in Birmingham is the main way in which the domestic and DIY customers dispose of there waste and ensure they recycle as much as possible. This is also true of the construction industry who for many years have used skip hire in Birmingham for there needs in disposing of there waste. Skip hire in Birmingham has been supplied by Skipbookers for many years and is probably the cheapest easiest skip hire booking system on the web. All skip hire that is supplied by Skipbookers in Birmingham comes from a local skip hire depot in the Birmingham area, this again is important to Skipbookers as we are very aware of our environmental impact and our carbon foot print. Our aim is to reduce the need for landfill in Birmingham by ensuring as much of the skip hire waste is recycled or re used, therefor we do not want to impact on that goal by then travelling more miles than necessary in order to deliver and collect the skip hired from us.

The local authority have adopted a similar stance to skipbookers and have put in place many new schemes to help households recycle as much of there domestic waste as possible, it is therefor important we feel that skipbookers offers a solution and recycling service via skip hire for the domestic, DIY and commercial industrial skip hire markets.

Birmingham City Council have introduced three kerbside collection schemes.

These three schemes are now available to most of Birmingham's houses/flats depending on houses/flats with or without gardens. The Paper & Garden Waste recycling facility is available to all houses in Birmingham. The Green Box scheme is going to be available to all houses later this year.

Environment

Birmingham has many corridors of wildlife that lie in both informal settings such as the Kingfisher Project and Woodgate Valley Country Park and in a selection of parks such as Handsworth Park and Small Heath Park. Wildlife is nurtured in a good many gardens and helped along by Birmingham City Council's dedication to replanting street trees when they die or are removed. The City's horticultural training facility at King's Heath Park is paired up with Pershore College. More traditional environmental concerns are constantly raised by volunteer pressure group Birmingham Friends of the Earth. That group advocate gentler travel such as through local rail revival, walking and cycling, reduction in energy demand and waste generally, and see a great future for environmental technologies in the city.

Boroughs

Birmingham City Council is the metropolitan borough council for the City of Birmingham in England. It is the most populated local authority in the United Kingdom (excluding counties) with, following a reorganisation of boundaries in June 2004, 121 Birmingham City councillors representing over one million people, in 40 wards. The council headquarters are based at the Council House in the city centre. The council is responsible for running nearly all local services, with the exception of those run by joint boards. The provision of certain services has in recent years been devolved to several council constituencies, which each have a constituency committee made up of councillors from that district.
